Hello Family & Friends,
The past two years have truly been a test for my family in ways I never expected. As many of you may know, I was laid off from my federal government contract this past July and have been out of work since. I went from being employed and preparing my law school applications to suddenly facing unemployment and doing everything I can to provide for my kids and keep us moving forward.
While this journey has been challenging, it has also opened a new door for me. A new opportunity for my kids and I to restart and rebuild in Maryland. I was offered a new job opportunity and looking forward to starting. During this transition, I’m leaning on my loved ones for guidance and support as we relocate back home.
As we prepare for this move, I’m asking for help to cover moving expenses, transportation, and funds to secure stable housing. My children mean the world to me, and my top priority is ensuring they have what they need to feel safe, supported, and ready to succeed in this next chapter.
This transition brings both new opportunities and uncertainty, but I’m choosing to step forward with faith, hope, and determination. Any amount you’re able to give, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping us get back on our feet. Your support, encouragement, and prayers mean more than I can express.
Thank you all for your kindness, generosity, and continued love during this time. Every contribution truly helps us move one step closer to stability and a fresh start.
With love and gratitude,
Ayana, Isaiah, Lakota
