Almost all groomer operators in Northern Maine are volunteers. They receive little for their efforts, mostly just the satisfaction of seeing the results of their work and the appreciation of knowing how that has improved their riding in the past. In the past, it has worked out that riders on our trails have donated so that 60-90 Northern Aroostook groomer operators could get together for a meal in appreciation of their efforts. This has only been possible because of the contributions given in the past and will only be possible if this fund raises the money to do so again this year. This is the only source of funds for this effort.
