At the beginning of this year, Angel Dimitri was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Sadly, her condition had progressed to the point where a liver transplant became necessary. Throughout this difficult time, Angel was in and out of the hospital and unable to work, facing mounting medical bills and living expenses.

After a long road of doctor visits, hospital stays, and endless hope, Angel was placed on the transplant list — and miraculously, she received the call the very next day. On the night of 4/12, following a 10-hour surgery, Angel received her new liver.

While this transplant has given her a new chance at life, her recovery journey is far from over. It will still be some time before she is able to fully return to work and regain her independence.
