Andrew's 411 House Eagle Project

My name is Andrew Hardin, I am a Boy Scout in Troop 153 in Temple, Texas. I am raising money to pay for my Eagle Scout project at the 411 House in Temple, Texas!

The 411 House was the former home to local civil rights activist, Myrtle Captain. The home was completely renovated in 2018 to serve as a safe place for local youth. Their mission is to create a space of belonging that champions young leaders in East Temple and invites them to dream, discover, and change the world for the glory of God. 

I first volunteered at the 411 House in the summer of 2023. I enjoyed my time there and was so impressed that I decided it was a great place for me to give back to my community through my Eagle Scout Project.

I plan to purchase a new tempered glass backboard, repair/recondition the goal raising/lowering mechanism, repaint the basketball court, build/install three new picnic tables, and to clean-up or haul away run-down equipment. I am trying to raise $2500 to accomplish this project.
