After many challenges and hesitations, Amir and Majd decided to publish their story

Majd a fifth-year medical student, and Amir is a general practitioner, he had a job, they had an apartment, they were settled and ready to get married, and now everything is gone. No house, no income, they were left with nothing.

They decided to get married before the war, they were engaged on October 6, 2023, one day before the start of the war. Amir and. Majd made the preparations and plans, but their happiness was not complete, as the next morning, the war began

They lost our homes, they were displaced to live in a tent. They lost everything they owned, and we were displaced several times and separated from each other during the displacement, suffering tremendously.

Amir and his family evacuated to Egypt on January 1, 2023 while Majd stayed with her family in Gaza until April. Majd evacuated with some of her family, her brother and sister remaining in Gaza, and Amir and Majd were reunited.

Amir obtained his medical license in Gaza, and the process to equate the license and utilize it in Egypt is lengthy and difficult. Amir will take the equivalency exam in February of 2025, and will begin working after the exam. Until the exam is complete, Amir and Majd are without income.

Their goal is to have a wedding, and rent a home together, so they can finally begin to breathe, grieve, and turn a new page. Majd and Amir will complete their medical studies and with your help, begin a beautiful life together
