This charity means a lot to my family. My mum who had dementia would have wanted to raise money for this charity, to help people through this terrible illness. See this video which just shows how hard it is for the individuals and the family
Although my mums dementia didn’t take her, she chose to not have an operation which had a small chance to save her life? Why? Yes we asked the same and begged her to take the chance.. it’s because she did not want to suffer from dementia and get to a place where she wouldn’t know who she was anymore. She wanted dignity. I wanted her to have that too, as painful as it was to accept it at first. We concluded we were fortunate.. as painful as that feels.. we were..
UNFORTUNATELY those who don’t have a choice, have to live with it.. and their families have to see and endure it..
