Friends of Al:

We want to thank everyone who has donated to the fund to support Al’s need for new housing and his fight to get his archive back. Thank you also to those who have helped to publicize this campaign.

The “GoFundMe” platform set the initial goal at $2400.

We don’t know what the costs of moving, rent; and legal assistance will be. Therefore, we’re going to increase the “GoFundMe” goal. Our hope is that word of this fundraiser will spread and new people will be motivated to help.

We are reaching out to find pro bono legal help in Florida. Vicki Bornas, Al’s longtime partner, is his unpaid caretaker, who has had to forego work in order to look after Al. She is overseeing the use of the funds.

We are open to suggestions on the best ways to support Al and Vicki.

Friends - we've set up this page to benefit Al Rockoff, US military veteran and war photographer.

As many have read in "The New York Times," Al is in a battle to regain his own photo archive, which he feels were taken from him. At the same time, Al needs new housing and must cover moving expenses.

Any donations will go toward supporting Al. Funds will be managed by Vicki Bornas, who continues to look after him.
