Donate to Aid Mom's Spinal Surgery Recovery
Donation protected
Our family is facing a difficult time, and we are reaching out to you for help. Last Friday, 10/11/24, our mom suffered a terrible accident while working in an orchard, something she’s done for years. She fell from the seventh step of a ladder, fracturing her vertebrae. Yesterday, she underwent an intense spinal fusion surgery from L1 to L3.
As you can imagine, this has changed everything for her.
Our mom is the heart of our family. She’s always been the first to lend a hand and the last to ever ask for help. But now, she needs it more than ever.
Due to her age and diabetes, her recovery is expected to be long and difficult. The doctors have told us she will need extensive physical therapy and care, and it breaks our hearts to see her struggle through the pain. Just today, she began her first steps of therapy, but she wasn’t able to muster the strength to complete it. While we are grateful she made it through surgery, we know she has a long road ahead of her.
She won’t be able to work for months, if not longer. We are doing everything we can as a family to support her, and she will need our presence with her in Seattle as she heals.
This is why we are asking for your help.
We are raising funds to:
• Allow our family members to take turns being with her during her recovery
• Help cover her day-to-day living expenses since she won’t be able to return to work
• Assist with medical costs that her insurance won’t cover
Our mom has spent her life giving everything to us. We know times are tough for everyone, but any donation, no matter how small, would make an incredible difference in her recovery and give her the chance to focus on healing without the added burden of financial stress.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, and prayers. You’re helping us give our mom the chance to heal and return to the vibrant, caring woman she has always been.
