Hi, we are starting this to help Baldy in a time of need!

As many of us know, he is someone who will give anyone anything he can to help. Now it's time to help him back for all the times he's helped us. Last week, he was admitted to the hospital for trouble breathing after dealing with what we thought was pneumonia for 3 weeks, but it was found to have fluid in both lungs (bilateral pleural effusions). Once he was admitted, they did some other tests. They realized that not only were his lungs full of fluid, but they discovered that Baldy was in Afib and would need to stay. The next few days were filled with more tests, which showed that his heart was only working at 15%, and he needed to be shocked to try and get his heart into a regular rhythm again. They thankfully got his heart into the rhythm it needs to be in, but now comes the long road of recovery. Finding the medicine that works to keep his heart in a regular rhythm and hopefully strengthen the heart muscle while he wears a life vest. They are watching his kidney function at this time and restricting his fluid intake to only 2 liters a day! Within the next few weeks, he will need to go in for a heart catheterization, which we could use all of your prayers for! With all this, he will be out of work for at least the next three to four months with no short-term or long-term disability. Medical bills and regular bills will start to pile up; he could use all of our help.
