On July 4th, 2025, my family's life changed forever. My 9 year old cousin suffered a tragic firework accident that resulted in in the loss of most of the fingers on his left hand. He's a bright, active boy who loves sports and has always been full of energy and big dreams. He participated in sports at the Menlo Park Boys and Girls Club, where he built friendships and found joy playing basketball and flag football.

This year was supposed to be extra special-he was finally going to start tackle football, his dream sport. He had been counting down the days, full of excitement and hope. But instead of gearing up for his first season, he's now facing surgeries, therapy, and a future that looks very different.

We are doing everything we can to help him heal and adjust, but the costs are overwhelming. He will need a prosthetic, which is not covered under his insurance, among other this to help him adjust to his new normal. Anything helps. Thank you!
