A statement from Ahmed:

“From Hope to Pain - A Journey in Search of Safety

At the age of 26, I lived a life full of hope and ambition. As a pharmacist, I dreamed of being the best in my field and supporting my family. But a year and a half ago, our lives changed dramatically. The death of my father left a huge void in our lives. He was the backbone of our family, and with his loss, it felt like our world had collapsed. However, losing him was not just the loss of a loved one; it meant that our situation and source of income had disappeared, which made life much more difficult.

But that wasn’t the only hardship we faced. As we grieved his loss, war swept through Gaza, destroying our home and livelihood. Our lives have become a journey of constant displacement, and we have been displaced about 13 times, seeking shelter in one tent after another. All of this is beyond our capacity, as we suffer from a lack of medicine, food and water, and are without a source of income. Every time we think we have found safety, things turn upside down again. These constant changes in our circumstances are more than just a test of patience; they are bleeding wounds that reopen the wound of losing our father. The situation is very difficult, especially with the displacement of my sister and her three children with us. The youngest was born during the war, which made the situation even more complicated, as we suffered from the difficulty of giving birth in these conditions.

Today, we have little hope of rebuilding our lives. We desperately need your support and help. Please, help me so I may help my family.”
