Friends and allies: I have the opportunity to return to Arizona for the last two weeks of this

enormously important national election.

With a new and insanely corrupt Supreme Court precedent waiting for the next President (granting immunity for criminal activity if it is "related to his/her official duties"), I am increasingly feeling a deeply unwelcome identification with German citizens of the early 1930’s.

In 1932, Adolf Hitler was a candidate for President of Germany. He lost that election but was nevertheless appointed as Chancellor nine months later. I feel that we are dangerously close to a fascist dictatorship in the U.S. and I must do more to help avert that disaster.

I have a free place to stay for two weeks with a fellow activist in Tucson. Your donations now will help cover my car rental, travel expenses and some limited campaign materials.

My focus will be on helping to elect climate hawk Kirsten Engel to the U.S. House; electing Rueben Gallego to the U.S. Senate; passing the reproductive rights measure on the AZ ballot; and of course winning Arizona’s electoral college votes for Harris/Walz.

I will be staying two full days past election day in order to help with ballot “curing” in Arizona.
