Cutter’s Resource Closet was founded to meet a critical and growing need in our community: ensuring that no individual or family goes without the medical equipment and supplies essential to their health simply because they cannot afford them.
Cutter’s Resource Closet currently serves roughly 100 patients each week—despite being open only four hours, one day per week. Even with these limitations, over $1 million worth of medical equipment and supplies has been provided free of charge to community members this year alone
However, we have outgrown our capacity to fill a need that is ever growing.
With no permanent space, no operating funds, and limited service hours, Cutter’s Resource Closet and our partner organization, Sons of Consolation Ministries, have reached maximum capacity. We have no room to store additional donated equipment, no ability to expand service hours, no means to reach rural or homebound neighbors, and no financial stability to ensure this vital service continues long-term
Our Vision: A Community Medical Resource Center
We are seeking to raise $100,000 to establish a permanent Community Medical Resource Center serving the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). This center will be a dedicated, accessible hub providing medical equipment, supplies, and essential health resources at no cost—ever—to those we serve
Funds raised will be used to:
- Secure a permanent building
- Renovate and outfit the space for cleaning, repair, storage, and distribution
- Create a centralized location for families, healthcare providers, and community partners
- Expand services such as resource navigation, health and wellness screenings, and peer support
- Sustain long-term operations to ensure this service remains available for years to come
Up until now, Cutter's Resource Closet has received no funding from the community,, still managing to provide over $1 million worth of medical equipment & supplies 100% FREE to those most in need. Instead, we have operated almost entirely volunteers (staffing to space), & stocked with donated medical equipment & supplies.
