We are raising funds to support the family of Adam ‘Mono’ Monson, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 47.
Mono served for 13 years in the Australian Army, specifically in the Royal Australian Corps of Signals and Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment where he reached the rank of Sergeant. During this period, Adam was deployed to East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Mono joined the Career Fire & Rescue Service in Western Australia in March 2008, Trainee Firefighter School 63. He served his community with the highest degree of professionalism and was passionate about teaching new recruits coming into the service. He moved through the ranks quickly, promoted to the rank of District Officer in 2022. Mono also deployed interstate on multiple occasions to help with fires and floods. He will
Posthumously receive a citation from the NSW Government for assisting with the floods as a Jurisdictional Liaison Officer.
Mono’s passing is a profound loss for his family, his Army and Firie mates (who he also considered family) and all those who loved him. He leaves behind Bec who he loved dearly, and his four beautiful children—Hailey, Stirling, Connor, and Liam. He will be missed terribly.
This fundraiser will help cover immediate costs not otherwise met and, most importantly, support the future needs of his children. The money will be used to pay any bills Bec receives, it will go towards covering funds Adam provided the family which is now not coming in. This includes private school fees, private health insurance and make memories for the family to help them to heal. Bec has authorised me to handle this money on her behalf.
Bec is very grateful for all the support being shown to her and the kids as they go through this very difficult time.
Please share this far and wide, every share has an impact. Every donation—no matter the size—will make a difference. Thank you for helping us honor Mono’s legacy.
With gratitude,
His mates xox
