Dear friends, family, and kind strangers, The Mendoza family is reaching out to you today on behalf of our Mother Sylvia who was recently diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor. As many of know, Sylvia is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, cousin, niece and friend who has always  been there for others. With a heart full of generosity, she has spent her life offering love, kindness, and unwavering support to her family, friends and her beloved Bowie community. Your help and support during this incredibly life-changing event would be greatly appreciated. Sylvia needs surgery to remove the tumor which  is located right next to her kidney and there is concern that it might spread. Doctors have scheduled surgery that removes the tumor with the possibility of removing a kidney and parts of her colon if necessary. While we are hopeful for speedy recovery, the medical bills are rapidly piling up.

This fundraiser is to help cover the medical costs, prescriptions, treatments, and any additional expenses that are a result of this illness. Our goal is to alleviate some of the financial strain on Sylvia allowing her to focus on her health and recovery and not worry about medical bills piling up.
