Donate for Rosie's Place: Essentials with Dignity

My name is Bella Romeo and I'm raising money as part of my Social Justice Institute project with Rosie's Place in Boston. Rosie's Place is a sanctuary for women facing poverty and homelessness. They provide meals, shelter, support services, and unconditional welcome. Instead of collecting direct donations, Rosie's Place has asked us to provide gift cards, which allow their guests to purchase essentials with dignity and choice.

100% of funds raised will go toward purchasing gift cards (like Target, CVS, etc.) that will be donated directly to Rosie's Place. We have surpassed my goal of $1000 so I have raised it to $1500 to buy 60 $25 gift cards!

As mentioned on the flyers, the painting titled "Root and Sky" represents growth and safety in the Rosie's community. The open window symbolizes the organizations welcoming atmosphere — the moment where someone moves from hardship into healing. The field of wildflowers symbolizes the resilience and growth that women at Rosie's are empowered to claim. I named it "Root and Sky" to reflect both where we're grounded and where we're headed, a balance Rosie's Place helps women discover every day.
