The show must go on! From 3-D innovation to community cornerstone, help us write the next chapter of the Vernon Plaza Theater. Since opening in 1953, the Vernon Plaza Theater has been a landmark of Texas cinema, built on the historic site of the Vernon Opera House. It made history as the state's first theater built to show 3-D movies. Though it fell into disrepair, it was rescued and revived by committed owners over the years.
Now, after nearly 20 years of dedicated family operation. Elezabeth, the owner’s niece, and her family need your help to continue this tradition, but help is needed to keep the legacy alive. We need to raise $10,000 to purchase new theater chairs and provide a more comfortable experience for our community. Join us in this new chapter and ensure this historic gem continues to shine brightly in Vernon, TX.
Your generosity is deeply appreciated. Your donations will be directly allocated to the two companies we are collaborating with for the purchase and shipping of the chairs from North Carolina to Texas. Any additional money raised beyond the initial $10,000 will be dedicated to the installation of the new chairs.
No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
