My name is Matt Campbell, and I’m raising funds to help relocate my mother to Colorado so she can be closer to family, and get the life-saving treatment she urgently needs.
My mom recently spent a week undergoing advanced testing at a leading medical facility in Denver, and doctors finally identified a rare and serious blood condition that requires urgent treatment. It took everything she had physically, emotionally, and financially to make that trip happen.
Unfortunately, she can't get the care she needs in where she is at. Even under the best conditions we all need help, we need other people. Where she is now they don’t have those resources. She needs to move to the Denver area not only for medical treatment, but also for access to alternative therapies like acupuncture—something that’s helped her greatly—as well as reliable public transportation and recovery-focused support services.
On top of that, the housing complex where she currently lives was just sold. This has created an urgent and difficult situation.
I want to make sure she’s supported when it matters most. I want to help her relocate to Colorado where she can be close and get the care she needs—but I can’t do it alone.
I run a weekly show about crowdfunding success, and now I’m asking for help myself and for my mom. It’s a strange role reversal, but it’s real, and it matters.
We’re raising funds to help with the essential costs of getting my mom safely relocated and medically supported, including:
- Relocation Costs: Transportation for my mom and her belongings to Colorado, including a moving truck or shipping, gas, meals, and lodging if needed during the trip
- First Month’s Rent + Deposit: Securing a place for her to call home near Denver medical facilities and public transit so she can access treatment without a car
- Basic Furnishings & Essentials: she will need a bed, basic kitchen supplies, and any other home essentials in the new place that don't come from her current home.
- Medical Transportation in Denver: Covering rideshares, shuttles, or a public transit pass to and from her medical appointments until she is settled
- Out-of-Pocket Medical Expenses: Including copays, prescriptions, alternative treatments, and initial appointment costs while she transitions to Colorado-based insurance or aid programs
- Application & Documentation Fees: For things like transferring records, applying for housing, or securing local aid
- Temporary Lodging (if needed): If there’s a gap between move-out and available housing in Denver, this will ensure she’s not left without a place to stay
This is a scary and overwhelming time for my mom, and she’s doing her best to stay strong. She spent her life caring for others—now it’s time we help take care of her.
Any donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to getting her the treatment and housing stability she urgently needs.
