Donate for Metal Detectors at MountainView Hospital
Tax deductible
We, the nurses of MountainView Hospital, are concerned about the safety of our hospital. We have had multiple cases of patients and visitors bringing guns and knives into our hospital. We have asked administration multiple times to place metal detectors at our entrances and staff security to be able to screen visitors and patients for weapons, to no avail.
At this time, we are asking for donations to support the nurses' goal of purchasing metal detectors for at least the emergency room entrance to limit weapons from entering the emergency room.
Ipdate: Nurses attempted to hold collective action by hosting a bake sale for donations to raise funds for metal detectors today to ensure their safety inside MountainView hospital amidst an increase of violence against healthcare workers nationwide. Despite our best efforts, hospital administrators silenced nurses concerns for our safety while they hide behind locked doors.
Donate here to send a clear message that healthcare workers safety should be a top priority, because according to a recent study 8 in 10 registered nurses report having experienced workplace violence in the past year.
