Tax deductible
Jelly Roll is a newly retired bodega cat who was rescued from a flea-infested basement during this record-breaking NYC summer heat. We found her outside on the corner of our block hungry, dehydrated, and absolutely filthy. During the first few days of staying at our home, touching her fur for a few seconds made our hands turn black with dirt.
With kitten season upon us and local rescue organizations overwhelmed with too many cats to care for and not enough resources, homes, and volunteers to do so, we are now turning to our community (you!) to raise money for her medical care as she is resituated indoors. Our hope is to get her the care she needs so we can transition her into a full-time house cat – and away from dark, sweltering, flea-infested basements.
How you can help: donate toward her vet bills, apply to foster with Greenpoint Cats, and spread the word!
