Hello Family and Friends,

On behalf of my mother, Edilia, we are reaching out to ask for your support as we continue providing the care she needs at home. My mom has battled Sarcoma cancer three times, and on top of that, she is also living with Parkinson’s and Dementia, which makes her recovery even more challenging.

Because of her mental state, we chose not to send her to a rehab facility. For the past two weeks, we’ve been providing her care at home, but this has not been easy. Unfortunately, her insurance will not cover at-home care unless she is placed in rehab. Our mother now requires 24/7 care for the next two months, and the cost is overwhelming—her weekly care alone is nearly $3,500.

As a family, we have all been contributing, but we are unable to cover the full cost moving forward. We are asking our family and close friends, if you are able, to please contribute toward her care. Any amount helps and would mean the world to us and especially to our mom.

En nombre de mi madre, Edilia, les pedimos su apoyo para continuar la atención médica en casa.

Debido a su estado mental, decidimos no enviarla a un centro de rehabilitación. Durante las últimas dos semanas, la hemos estado cuidando en casa, pero no ha sido fácil. Desafortunadamente, su seguro no cubre la atención en casa menos que la ubiquen en rehabilitación. Nuestra madre ahora requiere atención las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana, durante los próximos dos meses, y el costo es demaciado.

Como familia, todos hemos contribuido, pero no podemos cubrir el costo total de ahora en adelante. El costo semanal es mas de 3,000. Les pedimos a nuestros familiares y amigos cercanos, si pueden, que contribuyan a su cuidado. Cualquier donativo nos ayuda y significaría muchísimo para nosotros, especialmente para nuestra madre.
