On Monday my life changed in an instant. I was in a head on collision that left me with injuries so severe I was placed in an induced coma. I am still in the ICU, recovering from severe internal bleeding, two broken arms, and surgeries that included the removal of a significant portion of my bowel. My recovery will be long and uncertain, but I am determined to get there for my children.

I am the mom of two little ones, ages one and three. On top of the medical challenges, our family car was totaled in the accident. A safe reliable vehicle is essential because it is the only way I will be able to get to medical appointments, therapy, and eventually rebuild a sense of normalcy for my children.

Although I am blessed with support, most of it lives far away in Portland, which makes the day to day realities of transportation even harder. That is why I am reaching out with humility and gratitude. I am asking for help to cover the cost of a safe family car during this season of recovery.
