2025 Book-bag Campaign: Each One, Reach One, dedicated to uplifting students in orphanages across Liberia.

Hi Family and Friends,

We are Alanna and Gizelle, and we’re reaching out with hearts full of passion and purpose. We invite you to kindly support our 2025 Book-bag Campaign: Each One, Reach One, dedicated to uplifting students in orphanages across Liberia.

Our project is deeply personal and inspired by our mom, Faith Akovi, a passionate humanitarian who has spent over a decade working with Sis Iye’s Orphanage in Liberia and other orphanages across Africa.

We have been volunteering since 2018 when we lived in Liberia. We officially launched our Book-bag Campaign in 2022 and reached over 300 students, thanks to the generosity of so many of you. This year, we’re determined to reach even more students across Liberia.

In Liberia, thousands of children start the school year without the most basic supplies, no backpacks, no notebooks, no pencils, etc. Every child deserves the chance to learn.

Each One, Reach One, is not just a slogan! This is our way of giving back. Our Goal for 2025 is to raise $5,000 (or more) to fund this campaign. Every single dollar will go towards:

1. Buying school supplies

2. Shipping the supplies

3. Local distribution across multiple orphanages

4. In addition to the bookbags, we will secure few weeks of food support for the orphanages we visit (as we’ve always done)
