My name is Mohammad. I am 27 years old, from Gaza.

I am a husband and a father to two little girls who mean everything to me: Sila (3 years old) and Hoor (1.5 years old).

Before the war, we lived a simple but stable life. I had a home and a job that allowed me to provide for my family. We were not rich, but we had safety, warmth, and hope.

Then everything was taken from us…

Our home was destroyed. I lost my work.

Now we are living in a tent that cannot protect us from the cold, the hunger, or the fear. Every night we try to sleep despite the uncertainty, and every morning we wake up asking the same question: how will we survive today?

The hardest part is not losing everything…

The hardest part is my daughter, Hoor.

Hoor was born during the war. From her very first breath, life has been a struggle. She suffers from lung disease caused by the effects of the war, and she struggles to breathe. Sometimes I watch her trying to catch her breath, as if she is fighting just to stay alive… and I feel completely helpless.

There is not enough medicine, no proper treatment, and not even a safe environment to help her recover.

I am a father… and my heart breaks every single day.

My older daughter, Sila, has learned fear before safety. She asks me, “Daddy, when will we go back home?”

And I have no answer.

We are not asking for the impossible.

We are only asking for a chance to live with dignity. A safe shelter. Medical care for Hoor. A chance to rebuild our lives.

Any help, no matter how small, can make a difference.

It can bring hope to a little girl fighting to breathe… and to a family that has lost everything but still holds on to life.
