Donate a Book to Children’s Minnesota!

**This campaign has ended. Thank you for donating!**
This holiday season, in addition to our annual in-store book drive for Children’s Minnesota, we’re offering a virtual option for those of you shopping at home.
When you donate to Children's Minnesota, you give the gifts of peace, hope and joy to patients and families who rely on Children’s for life-saving care. You bring peace to brand new babies starting life in their NICUs. You give hope to kids fighting cancer. You bring joy to children whose worlds are turned upside down. Your gift makes their season bright — and their future even brighter.
Magers & Quinn Booksellers, in partnership with Children’s Minnesota, is raising money to purchase age-appropriate, culturally relevant books for patients and their families. All of the funds raised will be used to purchase books, specifically board books, picture books, and beginning-to-read books for kids. These books will be used in Children’s new give-away Book Nook, traveling Book Cart, Little Free Library, and throughout their clinics.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with us, Magers & Quinn is an independently owned new and used bookseller located in the heart of the Uptown neighborhood in Minneapolis. Our collection covers all subjects and features many unusual and hard-to-find editions, as well as thousands of current releases.
Children’s Minnesota is an independent, not-for-profit health care system. They’ve been serving the community since 1924. Along with two free-standing hospitals (one in Minneapolis and one in St. Paul), they have 12 primary and specialty clinics and six rehabilitation clinics.
Children’s cares for over 135,000 kids each year and is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the country. They’re the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from birth through young adulthood.
Caring for kids involves more than expert medical care. Whether it’s a child life specialist at the bedside to calm nerves, music therapy to boost mobility or interpreter services for non-English-speaking families, child and family services helps ease the fears, anxiety and stress of being in the hospital. Children’s provides a continuum of support, information, education, comfort and connection to help patients and families navigate and actively participate in their health care experiences.
This attention to detail, comfort and care is not found at every health care facility. It’s only available at Children’s Minnesota because of generous support from donors. These programs are not reimbursed by insurance and don’t show up on a patient’s bill.
Thank you for your support and Happy Holidays!
