Greetings, I am Derrick Newman and I am organizing a fundraiser to support the LGBTQ+ Low Barrier Shelter run by Living Life Alternative. Their goal is to provide shelter, food, clothing, and care to members of the community who are facing financial hardships, domestic violence, trauma, and substance/alcohol abuse. The shelter is managed by KBEC Group Inc. Under the guidance of Shelter Coordinator, Titanisia Dew, who utilizes her life experiences and compassion to create a safe and welcoming environment for the residents. Her dedication to guiding those in need with love and understanding is truly inspiring.

Personally, this cause is very important to me because I have seen how addiction and abuse can devastate the lives of family and friends. I am also aware of the opiate addiction crisis in the United States, which has tragically claimed many young lives. However, I have also witnessed the incredible impact that Living Life Alternative's shelter and team have had on people of all ages, helping them to turn their lives around.

The mission is to provide Living Life Alternative Shelter with essential supplies like hand sanitizer, soap, detergent, body wash, Disinfectant spray, lotion, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. As well as nutritional products such as plant based vitamins and protein to promote health and wellness. I believe that these supplies will not only help current and future residents improve their physical health, but also empower them to take control of their lives and overcome addiction.
