Nos es grato informar a usted que la organización comunitaria (MECENAS) junto con otras organizaciones, negocios y corporaciones llevará a cabo la iniciativa Donaciones Unidas.
Mecenas es una organización sin fines de lucro (501 (C) (3) que tiene como objetivo promover y difundir las tradiciones y las expresiones culturales y artísticas de México.
En estos momentos sin precedentes de Pandemia con COVID-19, que ha sumido en la pobreza y en el temor a la población, MECENAS unirá esfuerzos de varias organizaciones comunitarias con el fin de llevar alimentos a la población más golpeada por el área tri estatal. De igual manera coordinará la buena voluntad de varias empresas y corporaciones para que coadyuven en este esfuerzo donando alimentos y artículos de primera necesidad para que sean distribuidos por nuestra coalición.
Le hacemos a usted una atenta invitación para que colabore en esta iniciativa. Sabemos de su buena disposición para apoyar a la comunidad Latina en momentos difíciles y le agradecemos la colaboración que pueda proporcionar ya sea en especie o monetaria.

DONACIONES UNIDAS USA is an iniciative of MECENAS, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that have partnered with other non-profits to assist the people most vulnerables to the covid19 pandemic.
As we enter in our third month of the stay-at-home order in New York City, the epicenter of the crisis, and metropolitan neighborhoods in New Jersey, Westchester and Long Island, no other ethnic groups have been harder hit by the deadly disease but the Hispanic and African American communities. According to the NYC Department of Health, Hispanics dying of COVID-19 represent 28.2% of the fatalities, twice the rate of whites and Asians.
In quarantine, isolated, coping with grief and facing uncertainty, our most vulnerable group is desperate to pay for the most basic necessities and put food on the tables to feed their children. Once they were essential workers part of the supply chain working as grocery store employees, delivery boys, food preparers, janitors, maids, etc. those who couldn’t take the luxury to work from home as they were helping the rest of us to stay well, safe and healthy. Unfortunately, now, they are the casualties of the pandemic.
MECENAS’ members believe that is imperative to step up helping those in need by delivering food drives and creating a fund to address the unmet economic needs of the most vulnerable low-income Hispanic families who:
• have experienced illness and dead of their love ones due to the coronavirus
• are unable to obtain unemployment and social security benefits
• do not qualify for Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payments
An in-kind food donation and a contribution of $100,000 will greatly help needy families and bring them hope in these uncertain times.
By donating to this initiative will make a big difference in the wellbeing of the most vulnerable families. Please help us help.
