Ciao mi chiamo Daniele e sto raccogliendo fondi per un amico che per me è come un fratello. Il suo nome è Nitin Kumar.

Nitin è un vero guerriero. Ha sempre avuto problemi di salute, ma non ha mai mollato. È un grande chef, nonché maestro di Kung Fu. Ed è stato quando stava per aprire la sua scuola di arti marziali a Londra, che la salute lo ha abbandonato definitivamente.

Mentre sto scrivendo, lui è in ospedale da due mesi, e si trova costretto a cambiare completamente la sua vita, per l’ennesima volta. Il suo corpo è molto provato dalla talassemia, una grave malattia del sangue, e il suo fegato è altamente compromesso e non operabile.

Questo lo porta a dover vivere a pochi minuti di auto dalla struttura ospedaliera in cui ora è ricoverato e che per fortuna lo ha preso a cuore come paziente, il Borgo Roma a Verona.

Quando riuscirà ad uscire di lì, avrà bisogno di un appartamento in zona e di una piccola auto con cambio automatico da utilizzare per spostarsi all’ospedale, perché gli hanno chiaramente detto che non può affaticarsi, neppure con la guida, e non può prendere mezzi pubblici.

Fortunatamente non è solo: al suo fianco c'è la sua ragazza, che sta facendo di tutto per stargli accanto. Anche le loro famiglie si stanno impegnando molto per aiutarli entrambi. Ma ora hanno davvero bisogno di aiuto.

Serviranno tanti soldi per ricominciare e Nitin farà fatica a rimettersi subito a lavorare, senza contare che dovrà ripartire da zero e reinventarsi, perché la sua salute non gli permette di portare avanti la sua professione di istruttore. Servirà tempo.

Per questo vi chiedo, con il cuore in mano, di aiutarmi ad aiutarli a ricostruire la loro vita da zero, a Verona. Perché la solidarietà è un’energia potente, una forza invisibile che può cambiare le cose. E a volte basta una goccia d’acqua, per nutrire il deserto, e fare il mare.

Let’s give Nitin the chance to rebuild his life, despite everything he’s facing

Hi, my name is Daniele, and I'm raising funds for a friend who is like a brother to me. His name is Nitin Kumar.

Nitin is a true warrior. He had health problems during all his life, but he never gave up.

He's a great chef and Kung Fu master, but just when he was about to open his own martial arts school in London, his health gave up on him.

He's been in the hospital for two months and other months are coming, forced to completely change his life for the umpteenth time.

His body is severely affected by thalassemia, a serious blood disease, and his liver is severely compromised and inoperable.

This means he has to live just a few minutes' drive from the hospital where he's currently hospitalized, Borgo Roma in Verona, which fortunately has taken him to heart.

When he manages to get out of there, he'll need a local apartment and an automatic car to use to get to the hospital, because they've clearly told him he can't tire himself out, not even driving, and he can't take public transports.

Luckily, he's not alone: ​​his girlfriend is there, doing everything she can to support him. Their families are also working hard to help them both. But now they really need help.

It will take a lot of money to start over, and Nitin will struggle to get back to work right away.

Not to mention he'll have to start from scratch and reinvent himself, because his health doesn't allow him to continue his career as an instructor.

It will take time.
