Our friend Willian Román was unjustly detained by a Lake County, Florida police officer on December 24 at 9:00 p.m. The officer failed to follow proper procedures and transferred him to ICE custody. Willian has no criminal record and, after 10 years in this country, has proven to be a hardworking, responsible, and respectful man who has complied with the laws and demonstrated that he is a good member of the community.

In addition to being the primary financial provider, Willian is the emotional and family support of his household. His absence has caused significant financial and emotional hardship for his family.

As friends, we have created this campaign to help cover immigration bond costs and basic living expenses, so that Willian can await the resolution of his case with his family, rather than in detention.
