Don, the Legend, would love your support, however small

Hi, my name is Danny and this go fund me is for an amazing soul, a gentle Buddhist, who beams nothing but love, generosity and kindness here in the Liverpool community.

Don is known here for working in the little local corner store. He fled Sri Lanka over a decade ago due to civil unrest and, after the authorities finding weapons in a car that he was simply working on (as a mechanic in the community garage), he fled in fear of his life and the safety of those lives around him. Don was granted indefinite leave to remain here in the UK in 2010 and has since paid taxes to the state for his minimum wage, corner store job and has become a loved and valued member of the community in L9.

Since first meeting Don, after immediately clicking over our love for community and people in general, have since spent hours and hours talking about life, society, injustices and the peace and love that is fed through Buddhism that he is always so happy to share word with me about. I know this man will be a part of my life for many years to come as he has a kind heart, a peaceful and caring nature and a wealth of knowledge, lived experience and wisdom that deserves to be listened to.

Don, never asked for this go fund me, was even begrudging giving his permission for this at first, as he knows there are "plenty of other deserving people", but honestly, no one deserves a little help more than Don.

He really wants a passport which £1,630, flights to see loved ones again wherever that maybe best to do so, a phone to allow him good visual (he has a burner Nokia phone with worn out buttons), one for a family member over sees too which can be shared amongst the home, and personally, I'd love for him to just go and be able to treat himself and loved ones a bit too whilst there and give back to the temples which supported him all through his life prior to fleeing.

Anything given will be received with the upmost gratitude and sincere appreciation, like you wouldn't believe!
