Don Soos' Medical Expenses

Donation protected
As you all know, late in June, Don suffered a large stroke while visiting his family in Connecticut. As a result of the stroke, he also suffered a seizure. Don spent several days in the neurological ICU on a ventilator. That stay was followed by an extended hospital stay at Yale University Hospital. After that he was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital to start his rehabilitation. His multi week stay in the rehabilitation unit was interrupted by the discovery of a need for a pacemaker. Don was transferred to the cardiac ICU unit at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital to undergo that procedure. That extended his stay in the hospital and additional week. Don has been subsequently discharged from the hospital and is receiving in-home rehabilitation care at his families house in Connecticut. He will soon be transferred to outpatient rehabilitation as he grows stronger.
While Don does have insurance, his medical bills are mounting quickly. He is now unable to work to be unable to cover the expenses for his co-pays and his treatments. We are looking to friends and family to help with the expenses and to allow Don to continue recovering without the heavy burden of not being able to pay medical expenses.

As of today (8/13) the total is approaching $8,000. Any contribution to the growing balance is greatly appreciated.
Peace and Love,
Don’s Family
