The family of Cardiff City legend Don Murray ask for your support as we provide ongoing care for Don in his battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

While thousands of City fans across the country know Don as the man who made over 400 appearances for the Bluebirds – among them that night against Real Madrid at Ninian Park – to us, he’s our beloved Husband, father and Grampy. It was awful news when he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, and as a disease that gets worse over time, Don is now unable to care for himself, requiring round-the-clock assistance.

Dementia with Lewy bodies is a type of dementia that can lead on to Parkinson’s, characterised by changes in sleep, behaviour, cognition, movement and regulation of automatic bodily functions.

The Murray family are encouraging supporters and friends to donate towards Don’s daily welfare and ongoing care. We wish to say a special thank you to all the truly amazing fans and friends who have already been in touch with us to offer support.

Any donations are appreciated as we work to arrange ongoing care for Don. If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask that you share this page with fellow City fans: it will help us all enormously.
