Hallo, mein Name ist Zef Marku. Ich bin Albaner und hier in dem Ort Domgjon geboren und aufgewachsen. Mit 18 Jahren bin ich aus dem Dorf weg, war eine Zeit lang in Deutschland und habe die letzten Jahre an der Küste in Shengjin gelebt. Doch jetzt mit 27 zieht es mich zurück an meinen Ursprung, dort in die Berge, in die Natur, in meine Heimat, deren Reichtum und Schönheit an Natur ich gerne mit anderen teilen will. Deshalb möchte ich nun meinen Traum wahr werden lassen und das Domgjon Mountain House als Campingplatz und Guesthouse erschaffen.

Meine Vision: Ich möchte das alte Haus, welches mein Vater vor 60Jahren gebaut hat, restaurieren und als Zentrum nutzen. In dem Garten drumherum sollen Camper Platz haben. Dazu sollen nun als erstes zwei Toiletten und zwei Duschen gebaut werden, die mit einem Abwassersystem verbunden sind. Das ist hier in Albanien typischerweise ein Betonbehälter, der dann regelmäßig ausgepumpt werden muss, damit nichts in die Natur gelangt. Weiter wünsche ich, eine Küche und eine Bar zu bauen, sodass Touristen, aber auch Einheimische traditionelles Essen aus der Region kosten können. Baumhäuser und eine Sauna im direkt anliegenden Fluss sind weitere Ideen, die aber erst zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt realisiert werden können.

Dieses Projekt ist in Etappen geplant und wird Stück für Stück wachsen. Dennoch braucht es am Anfang Startkapital, um die ersten Schritte gehen zu können. Momentan betreibe ich eine Beach Bar in Kune Vain (Vog Beach Bar), welche von dem Besitzer im Sommer wieder übernommen wird. Leider konnte ich damit dieses Startkapital nicht wie erhofft erwirtschaften.

Aus diesem Grund wende ich mich jetzt direkt an euch und bitte darum, mich in meinem Vorhaben zu unterstützen - finanziell oder auch direkt vor Ort mit Tatkraft, damit diese Oase in den Bergen entstehen kann. Ein Ort der Ruhe, umgeben von Bergen, perfekt zum Wandern und Natur genießen, bestes Quellwasser, Obst direkt am Wegesrand und Tiere in großer Vielfalt. Ihr seid immer herzlich Willkommen und habt ein Zuhause auch hier in Albanien!

Ich wünsche mir, Touristen zu empfangen und ihnen neben der Natur auch meine Traditionen und meine Kultur zu zeigen. Ich möchte die Menschen, die noch in diesem Dorf und der Region wohnen, mit einbeziehen und zum Beispiel die Eier von dem einen Nachbarn, die Kartoffeln von dem anderen oder die frische Milch von dem Haus gegenüber beziehen, sodass das Essen lokal und Bio ist. Mein Wunsch ist es, dass dies ein Startpunkt ist und vielleicht auch andere, die die Region wie ich damals aus Mangel an Optionen verlassen haben, zurückkehren werden.

Hello, my name is Zef Marku. I‘m Albanian and I was born and raised here in the village of Domgjon. I left the village when I was 18 years old, lived in Germany for a while and have spent the last few years on the coast in Shengjin, Albania. But now, at 27, I'm drawn back to my origins, to the mountains, to nature, to my hometown, whose richness and beauty of nature.

I would like to share with others. Therefore, I want to realize my dream and create the Domgjon Mountain House as a campsite and guesthouse.

My vision: I want to restore the old house that my father built 60 years ago and use it as a center. In the garden around it should have space for campers. The first step is to build two toilets and two showers that are connected to a sewage system.

This is typically a concrete tank here in Albania, which then has to be pumped out regularly, so that nothing gets into the environment. I would also like to build a kitchen and a bar so that tourists, but also locals, can taste traditional food from the region. Tree houses and a sauna by the riverside are further ideas that can only be realized at a later date.

This project is planned in stages and will grow step by step. Nevertheless, start-up capital is needed at the beginning in order to be able to take the first steps. I currently run a beach bar in Kune Vain (Vog Beach Bar), which will be taken over by the owner in the summer. Unfortunately, I was not able to generate the start-up capital I was hoping for.

For this reason, I am now contacting you directly and ask you to help and support me in my project -financially or directly on site with your skills and experience so that this paradise in the mountains can be created. A place of peace, surrounded by mountains, which are perfect for hiking and enjoying nature,

the best spring water, fruit right by the wayside and a wide variety of animals. You are always welcome and have a second home here in Albania!

I would like to welcome tourists and show them my traditions and my culture. I would like to involve the people who still live in this village and the region, for example

eggs from one neighbor, potatoes from another or fresh milk from the house across the street, so that the food is local, organic and sustainable.

My wish is that it will be a starting point and perhaps others who have left the region for lack of opportunities, as I did at the time, will return.
