Domestic Violence Survivor Needs Help with Legal Fees

Donation protected
I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Jennifer, a strong survivor, devoted mother, and someone who has always been there for others. Today, she needs our help. Jennifer is disgusted and heartbroken that her abuser has connections and family members in high-ranking government positions — people who have repeatedly helped him escape accountability for theft, aggravated assault, child abuse, and many other serious issues. This is Jennifer’s story — the raw truth she has lived through. When Jennifer became pregnant, the physical abuse from her abuser began. What followed was years of domestic violence — physical, emotional, psychological, and severely controlling. She lived in constant fear, walking on eggshells every day while trying to protect herself and her child as her world crumbled around her. The bruises have faded, but the trauma, anxiety, and PTSD remain with her daily. After finding the courage to leave, the fight was far from over. For two years her abuser chose no contact. He was granted visitation rights but never used them. Since 2025, he has drifted in and out of their son’s life only when it suits him. Now Jennifer is deep in ongoing family court proceedings, battling for protection, justice, and a safe future for her sons. The justice system has failed them in ways she never imagined. She is carrying the entire financial and emotional burden alone. Her abuser continues his financial abuse — refusing to pay his court-ordered share for their son’s education and camps for over a year, leaving Jennifer to cover everything by herself. Jennifer has always been the one supporting others. She has fundraised for domestic violence survivors, Israel causes, friends battling leukemia, and many more in her community. She has shown up time and time again for friends, family, fellow survivors, and kind supporters. Today, she is humbly setting aside her pride to ask for help in return. Immediate needs: • $5,000 to replenish her attorney’s account • $2,500 to pay the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) • Funds for upcoming legal fees as the court process continues Any amount you can give will go directly toward these legal fees and support for her sons’ education. Any funds remaining after covering these immediate needs will be donated to a domestic violence organization to help other survivors. Jennifer’s fight is our fight. Your support — whether it’s $5, $20, $100, or simply sharing this post — means more than you know. It’s about helping a survivor and her children finally move forward in safety and peace. If you’ve ever been helped by Jennifer, loved her, or believe in standing with survivors, please consider helping her now. Thank you for seeing her, believing her, and standing with her.
With gratitude,
Stacie
