Hi! My name is Louise and I am currently volunteering in Dolphin Daycare Tanzania.

I will be here for three and a half weeks, and it’s been a rewarding experience so far. I have had the chance to work with an amazing group of children, ranging in age from 9 months to 5 years old. They are eager to learn, from counting to picking up the basics of reading.

With three weeks left here, I am hoping to help meet some of the children’s most basic needs. While they are excited to learn, many come from tough situations, some rely on the daycare for their only meal of the day, and many do not have proper supplies.

I am aiming to provide:

1 - Food and Hygiene items to support their health.

2 - School supplies.

3 - Outdoor play equipment.

4 - Toys for learning and development.

If there is enough support, I would also love to contribute to something lasting that benefits the daycare beyond my time here. This may include a months rent or water costs for the daycare.
