Doing our part...

Winter is...here! Spokane temps are dropping below zero and shelters/warming centers aren't able to serve everyone who needs them. Caleb and I recently cooked two large crockpots of spaghetti and took food and coffee and handwarmers to the streets. Our philosophy is to literally meet those in need where they're at. We fed and warmed 30 people on less than $100. But it wasn't enough. We had to turn folks away when we ran out of food, and it broke our hearts frankly. Many organizations that might normally provide services are facing deep funding cuts that make individual efforts like this all the more crucial.

We are asking for support in outfitting with some insulated food transport boxes, hot/cold serving pans, hotel pans, serving ware, etc. Any funds raised over our set-up costs will go to providing essentials directly to the people we serve. Our goal is to do two feeding events every month, year-round. We are both economical and pretty good cooks, so we know how to cook en masse to reduce cost while providing quality, home-cooked meals.

We ask that you give what you can and repost to your socials as we try to do our part to help those in our community who are experiencing hard times, now and in the days ahead.
