A road to recovery❤️

Hello everyone,
My daughter Elizabeth got admitted into the hospital on February 13, 2022 because of high blood pressure. She was diagnosed with Severe Preeclampsia at 27 weeks and 4 days pregnant. So she was being monitored and they were giving her medication to control her blood pressure. When they did an ultrasound they saw that the baby was on the smaller side than what he should be. He’s only weighing about 1lbs 14oz when he should be in the 2lbs range by now. They also noticed some kidney damage in her kidneys and her liver enzymes were also elevated. They said her placenta isn’t working properly and the baby wasn’t receiving the necessary nutrients and it’s just making both baby and mama sick. They were testing her daily to check her organs to make sure her kidneys and liver weren’t getting worse and to also make sure her other organs aren’t being attacked as well because then they will have to take baby out asap. Their goal was to get her and baby as far along as possible so they were shooting for at least 30-34 weeks.
*Update*
Zachary Lucas Arroyo-Marquez was born February 27, 2022 via emergency C-Section weighing 2lbs 5oz at 29 weeks gestation. Zachary now has a long road ahead of him with his first few months at the hospital in NICU. It’s been very scary knowing my daughter is going through all this but we’ve been staying strong and positive.
We continue to wait with continued prayers for my grandson Zachary. We are currently looking for support for medical bills, transportation expenses, and food expenses accrued during this challenging journey.
A typical stay in the NICU averages around $3,000 per day and with Zachary being born prematurely, he has a long stay ahead of him. Elizabeth and Jovanni are not sure how much insurance is going to cover, so these donations will be to take care of what the insurance will not. These donations will help cover his stay in the NICU, procedures, tests/scans, medications, as well as going towards expenses after he is released, which will include specialty doctor visits, any necessary surgeries, and everything else that might come during his development.
If you could share this with your friends and help in any way it would be so greatly appreciated! Any amount, great or small helps. Lets help this young family get back on their feet and allow them to enjoy their sweet baby boy. Thank you in advance for your support and anything you can give to help is greatly appreciated!
