Dnipro Prenatal Center and Refugee Children

Hello, my name is William Grow and I'm the driver of the Dnipro Express. Together, we're going to deliver medical supplies, toys, and candy to Dnipro, Ukraine. A Prenatal Center in the area sent us a request for aid, and I intend to deliver!

In November of last year, I asked for your help to bring Christmas to Dnipro Regional Children's Hospital, and WE DID IT!!! If you haven’t seen the slideshow, this one is for you:

In that one trip, we were able to raise over $10,000 US Dollars and deliver so many Christmas presents that we had to take the entire roof off of our truck to make it all fit!!!

To state that another way:

- 50 refugee children in 34 different displaced families received every wish on their Christmas wish list this year. Toys, presents, candy, chocolate, baby food, furniture, and even diapers were delivered to make their very own Christmas in 2022.

- Ma’lva Rehabilitation Center in Dnipro received stuffed animal toys, candy, chocolates, UV Disinfectant lights, a portable EKG machine, and over $4000 in donated cash.

The trip took us through all sorts of conditions including washed-out roads, snow, and ice to the point we were using a blow torch to keep our truck going, but we did it!

This April, we're going back and this time it’s for the future children of Ukraine and the region's Prenatal Care Center.

So, why Dnipro?

Dnipro's central location, with regards to the crescent of fighting that surrounds it, makes it a prime location for families to seek refuge. It also makes it a prime target for Russian terror strikes. Many have hit already, some while we were still in the area.

We received a list from the center itself and it includes microscopes, blood pressure monitors, and a plethora of much-needed UV disinfectant lights (which will help provide clean air and drinking water to the facility). Some of these items will be delivered in the truck, others (like the UV lights) need special care and will be delivered in tandem with our run (at no extra cost beyond the price of their purchase). This means we’ll have extra room on this trip to help our children who are still sheltered in the area. To assist us with boots on the ground, we have a program that we work with in the area which gives us the ability to send toys, art supplies, electronics, candy, diapers, baby food, and anything we think the children might need directly to their door steps (and we plan to make the most of it).

Because of what’s being ordered, this might be our most challenging campaign yet. Because of that, we plan on having it open for donations from now until Sunday, the 23rd of April.

At the closure of the donations, we will use 100% of the collected funds to purchase the following items:

1) Dino-Lite Digital Microscopes (Edge Series) 5mp with FLC, Polarizer, & Wide FOV

2) ABP Pro Blood Pressure Monitoring System

3) Bactosfera EKRAN Jalousie 30 UV Disinfectant Lights (9ea requested)

4) Bactosfera EKRAN Jalousie 15 UV Disinfectant Lights (47ea requested)

5) Any funds in excess of what’s required for the above-listed items will be used to purchase toys, children’s supplies, or any other requested items from the mothers or children currently taking refuge in Dnipro.

From there, everything purchased will be loaded in the back of our Toyota and driven straight to the front steps of the building. Nothing collected here will go to anything else. Things like fuel, food, vehicle maintenance, admin expenses... They are our contribution to this drive, and one that we are proud we can make.

100% of what you donate goes to the children and the pre-natal center that you're donating it to.

A few things to note before we go:

1) The dollar amount listed as the "goal" for this campaign is completely arbitrary. We're driving to Dnipro with anything and everything we collect.

2) We do not sell anything and do not profit from any of the links you see posted here. You can click without fear of spam, sale attempts, or subscription notifications.

3) We do not take pictures of the people receiving aid, as we believe they deserve their privacy. All pictures of children that you see (or will see) were sent to us by their respective mothers and were shared with their permission.

4) The Dnipro Prenatal Center will not be named until after the delivery is completed. Western supply lines are targets for the Russian military, and we do not want to put them at risk.

5) We do not take pictures of anything involving the Ukrainian military and do our best to keep things like departure times and route info intentionally vague.
