The Milly-Rose Stirrup foundation
My sister asked me if I would like to run my first 10k at Tatton park in October 2023 along with Milly's parents, family and friends, our first run to raise money for The Milly-Rose Stirrup foundation.
After this running became a big part of my life
and I will always be grateful that I was able to be part of that first run.
This lead to us booking our first half marathon together in July 2024 where we were supported by our amazing family and friends and were able to raise more money for Milly.
I'm now taking on the challenge of my first full marathon, The Manchester marathon on Sunday 27th April 2025 and although I will be running alone this time, I know everyone will be supporting me every step of the way.
Knowing I'm raising money for Milly and her incredibly strong parents who have set up this charity in her memory is motivating me every day to achieve my goal.
More information about The Milly-Rose Stirrup Foundation: To provide a more personalised approach to the aftercare given to parents/carers who have lost a child, providing items for bereavement services to use in these last moments parents get to spend with their children after they have passed away. These items will include, but are not limited to, more unique hospital gowns, bedding, cuddle blankets, books for bereavement suites and clothing. We would like to improve bereavement suites, and be involved in the training of professionals in this area.
Thank you for your contributions to this charity that means so much to me.
