Hello friends, colleagues and clients,
I am Jackie Younker, a nurse currently working as a personal trainer and cardiac rehab specialist. As many of you know, I joined the humanitarian expedition to Kenya last year.
I will be joining the humanitarian medical expedition again this year for 2 weeks in October. The team consists of Osteopaths, nurses, midwife, doctor and helpers. There are 30 of us in total. We will travel every few days to new locations within Kenya. This expedition will set up camp and clinics in areas such as Pokot, Naivasha, Amboseli and Magadi.
One of the Divinity Foundation’s core missions is to end female genital mutilation (FGM)—a harmful and traumatic practice affecting countless girls and women. FGM is internationally recognised as a violation of human rights, often performed on minors and leading to long-term physical and psychological harm. The Foundation works tirelessly to rescue girls at risk and support survivors through medical, emotional, and educational care.
Each day, 300–700 patients will receive free treatment, including medical consultations, diagnostic testing, manual therapy, medications, and minor surgical procedures. Our mobile laboratory and pharmacy enable us to address a wide range of conditions. A key part of our work is also health education—teaching about disease prevention, nutrition, and caring for children and the elderly.
This year we are also raising money to support the new Divinity Foundation Inkisanjani Hospital, a Maternity and Children’s Community Hospital that serves an approximate catchment of 1000 families who are in desperate need of a permanent medical facility within their reach.
The clinic will cater for primary health care, minor surgeries, laboratory services, diagnostic services (ECG, Ultrasound, X-RAy), immunisations, pre- and post-natal maternity care, natural and C-section deliveries of babies, fistula repairs, family planning services and holistic osteopathic treatment. We aim to one day also be able to carry out reconstructive surgery on women who have undergone FGM
Further information about the Divinity Foundation can be found at https://www.divinityfoundation.com
I am traveling on October 1st 2026 and will be taking medical supplies and clothing donations.
All donations made will go directly to the Divinity Foundation to pay for medication, medical equipment, food donations, as well as buying supplies for the new maternity and children's hospital.
I am truly grateful for your support.
Many thanks
Jackie
