Hello, my name is Tatiana Houser. This is not the first time I'm trying to raise funds for a refugee in need, but it is definitely the most urgent one I've ever done.

Olha Kryzhanivska is a single mom who fled a very abusive relationship in Ukraine. She was able to rebuild her life on her own successfully only to flee again, this time the war in her native Ukraine, together with her 6 year-old son.

She witnessed horrors on her way through the countryside after hiding in a bomb shelter for 6 days with very little food and water. When she came here to the U.S. a technical mistake prevented her from obtaining a refugee status, and she had to get a tourist visa. Because of this she does not qualify for any refugee or state benefits. A couple weeks ago Olha found out that their apartment was destroyed by a rocket blast.

It will take months for the immigration authorities to change Olha's status. In the meantime she cannot legally work and thus has no means of income or any government support. Please share her story with those who may help.

Olha and her son need money for basics: rent, utilities, groceries, transportation. Things to start her life anew. Any amount will help. Thank you.
