About The Tournament
The Draža Mihailović Cup is an annual Australian basketball tournament for basketball clubs and teams with Serb ethnic affiliation. It is a very special competition that brings the best Serbian Basketball Teams together once a year. The first edition of the tournament was held in 1993, and since then it has steadily grown to encompass clubs from across the nation.
About The Initiative
The 2019 Draža Mihailović Cup will be held in in Brisbane, and as its proud hosts this year, the "White Eagles Basketball Club Brisbane Inc " have decided to take this opportunity to partner up with "Sbri Za Srbe " and use this tournament as a way of helping disadvantages Serbian Families across the Balkans achieve the basic conditions for a normal life.
Our Mission
Together with "Srbi Za Srbe" our goal is to unite the Serbian Community in this great nation and to stimulate the consciousness of Australian Serbs and their friends through our Christian Faith, in order to develop and foster a better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need.
Our Goal
Leading up to, and during this tournament we will strive to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children and their families who have been left on their own, who have no voice, have lost all hope and who are struggling to make ends meet.
How It Will Work
All money collected during this initiative will be donated to the humanitarian organisation "Srbi Za Srbe", in the name of the Draža Mihailović Cup.
How Srbi Za Srbe Work
All collected donations from around the world are reported on the official website of their organisation on which you can find all the receipts of purchased goods, reports and photographs of all their humanitarian projects . Aid is delivered directly to families, strictly in the form of household items and goods needed for work, with a constant emphasis on the needs of the children.
We Need Your Help
We are inviting all family, friends, communities, basketball clubs, teams, people of good will and Serbs across this nation to help us as we strive to attain a future for children in economically stable and sustainable families and the survival of Serbian people in lands, which they have inhabited for centuries.
