On April 30, I went to the ER due to a bad case of pneumonia. This resulted in a 4 day hospitalization the following week due to some cardiac issues that were previously unknown. I’ve follow up appointments scheduled and I’m making the necessary lifestyle changes to improve my health.

On March 7, we found out that my mom had stage 4B cancer. Our family has battled this disease for the last 2+ months and we learned on May 14 (Mother’s Day 2023) that she is near the end of life. She has transitioned to Hospice and will soon complete her journey here on earth.

I setup this as a means to recover lost wages from time off work and also to help offset the cost of air travel for my daughter, Lyric, to be able to attend her grandmother’s funeral (she lives in California).
