Edinburgh University Press are proud to support Saltire Tides as our 2026 Charity of the Year.

Saltire Tides are an all-female Scottish rowing team taking on the World's Toughest Row, a 3,000-mile Atlantic crossing from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean in December 2026. Through this extraordinary challenge, they are raising funds for the Archie Foundation.

The Archie Foundation works with sick children and their families across Scotland, funding vital services not provided by the NHS. Their support reaches children's hospitals and units in Aberdeen, Inverness and Dundee, as well as neonatal care, bereavement services and family support programmes.

Throughout 2026, Edinburgh University Press will be running fundraising events and activities to support Saltire Tides and help raise as much money as possible for this important cause.
