I am Grace Nakimera from Uganda, East Africa. I am the founder of FEED THE STREETS FOUNDATION. I am a humanitarian, a Christian, and a mother to many. I have been doing charity work for over five years. We are based in East Africa, Uganda, Kampala, Katoogo, and Kinawataka.

To the homeless children, I am a mother; to the hungry mothers, I am a sister; and to anyone who needs me in this community, I am a prayer partner. But above all, I am a friend and a shoulder to cry on. I grew up in the ghetto myself, and my biggest challenge as a 13-year-old girl was finding my next meal. I remember saying a prayer one day with my rumbling, empty tummy: "God, help me never sleep hungry, and if you ever bless me, I will help others like me." This is why I opened a soup kitchen in Katoogo, Kinawataka. In a place like this, a simple plate of food can save a life. This is the first-ever charity soup kitchen in Uganda called FEED THE STREETS FOUNDATION, located in a ghetto called Katoogo, Kinawataka. We open every Sunday and Wednesday.

We hope that with God's blessings and support from GO FUND ME, we will be able to open more days. We share the gospel of JESUS CHRIST and serve meals after prayers to both children and mothers. On a daily basis, we feed 400 to 500 mothers and children. Living in the ghetto is very challenging. On our first visit to Kinawataka, we found a boy named Simon who didn't want to get off the road.

He looked like he had given up on life at just nine years old. A few days later, another boy came to the soup kitchen. He had lost his mother and wanted some money, but I didn’t have any to give him that day. He went stealing and was found dead the next morning. It hurts me to this day that I wasn’t able to help more than I could. At FEED THE STREETS FOUNDATION, this is our home. If someone is homeless, living in a box on the road, we help them until they clean up and are ready to get back on their feet.

We have helped a lot of homeless mothers, boys, and girls, and we are there until we see progress in their lives. Young girls are pushed into prostitution, and boys will steal just to get a plate of food. So, we provide free food, counseling, and the gospel of Jesus Christ to give them hope. *How the funds will be used: - With £50,000, we will be able to have our own food bank and buy farmland to grow our own food, ensuring we have food for every season. - At the moment, we are renting a small place where our homeless children live.

With £50,000, we will be able to build a proper shelter, and our children will have a place to call home.
- We will bring in experts to teach mothers and children skills that will help them self-sustain. For example, farming, baking, cooking, mechanical skills, hairdressing, beauty skills, soap production, Vaseline production, music production, and choir, etc. - This can save a child's life by providing them a home, food, and a skill, giving them hope for a better future.
- We will help struggling mothers and families in the ghettos start small businesses that can help sustain their homes. - We will get a bigger space and add a rehabilitation club. We have many addicts, and for those who want more in life, we pick them out and train them in a skill that can help them throughout their lives. I pray you see this. We need a helping hand to keep this place open.
- We plan to build on the investment we have already made. Feed The Streets Foundation Soup Kitchen has been open for a while now, and we plan to keep going in Jesus' name. We can't give up on our beautiful community; we just can't. We need to keep Feed The Streets Foundation Soup Kitchen open. With these funds,
- we will have a safe place for these children to come to. It is also very expensive to feed 400 to 500 people, which totals 1,000 people a week. We could not do it on our own. Thanks, and God bless. My Sister:Mrs. Nishita Serunkuma, and daughter.
