This November, Diverse Abilities Dance Collective has been invited to perform at the World Culture Festival in Karachi, Pakistan.

Diverse Abilities Dance Collective is a space for persons with disabilities whom seek semi-professional opportunities in the arts space. My sister, Arassi is one of the dancers! She is trained in dance techniques inspired from Bharatanatyam and contemporary dance. She along side her co-artists (many whom I’ve had the pleasure of growing up with) also develop skills related to employment in the arts, such as costume management, administration and teaching.

The production will raise awareness of Down Syndrome and celebrate inclusivity, creativity, and resilience on an international stage.

The artists are needing help though!

They Need to Raise (in SGD)

- Flights for 10 pax: $13,500 (approx. $1,350 per person)

- Visa costs: $500

- Performance allowances: $4,000

Total Goal: $18,000 or ~12000€
