I want Thank You for being part of the Distinctions Salon Family. And if you are not part of our family, then Thank You for your patronage to your local salon. Your support of the industry provides jobs and opportunities in communities throughout our country and that fact is not mentioned often enough.
As you are aware, our country, state and local community are, at the moment, going through some very difficult times with COVID19, Civil Unrest and Economic Uncertainty. I am sure we all can remember the good old days when all we had to worry about were what the kids were doing or could we get a good seat at that movie we couldn’t wait to see or the weight we keep seeming to gain despite our eating and working out efforts. Boy!!!, I really miss those old worries compared to the immediate concerns of today.
We are a small business who have been successful only because of people just like you. Everyday folks who supports salons in their communities. And while our resources are limited, our hearts are strong and full of desire to find alternate ways we can show our sincere gratitude for your support.
As we speak to our clients and others in the community, and hear stories about how the Pandemic is causing major suffering and difficulties in their lives. We felt compelled to step forward and try to provide some assistance in anyway we can. One elderly client on an fixed income, explained how she calls a uber driver to take her to the grocery store and pays the driver extra if they will go inside and shop for her because she is frighten she will catch the virus. We heard another story about community member who had her income reduced because her job cut her hours and she is unable to maintain the basic necessities like, phone, food and medications.
So we decided we had to do something to try to help. We are not wealthy at all, but we will not use that as a excuse to not try in anyway we can to help. So we were thinking other folks just like us, want to help, but don't know how they can make a difference. Whether it's 5 cents - 5 Dollars - 10 Dollars - 100 dollars or more, it will make a difference to someone who is really in need of any help. Please find it in your heart to be more than the sum of one. Every single penny this effort raises will go 100%, (Minus gofundme fees) to someone in need of assistance.
We will have full transparency on our website: Distinctions Salon , listing our donors and how all funds were distributed to those in need. You will also receive a 10% Discount of the amount of your donation on any of Distinctions Salon Services or Retail Purchases. And did I mention your donation can be tax deductible? "We are all suffering in some way from this Pandemic, but we looked over our shoulder, and saw we had a lot to be Thankful for."
