My name is Henry Gray but professionally throughout the Entertainment & Spoken Word Community I am known as Distinguish. My organization Disnetwork Inc celebrates 10 Years this November and instead of doing a fancy dinner or gala, open mic or poetry slam, we have decided to come together and give back to the Community in a major way and that is to enlist some of the most selfless human beings and organizations that are like minded willing to come together by doing something for the greater good of all humanity.
On November 14th, Disnetwork Incorporated will be celebrating 10 years of service, creativity, and community engagement. In recognition of this milestone, I am organizing a 24-Hour Community Feeding Initiative in Jamaica, Queens — the very community that helped raise me and has provided me with countless opportunities to develop, showcase, promote, and share my talents.
This initiative is intended to be more than simply providing meals. My vision is to create a welcoming space where members of the community can access food, water, clothing, resources, meaningful dialogue, prayer, fellowship, and connections to organizations and individuals who can provide additional support.
To bring this vision to life, I am seeking community-minded organizations, businesses, individuals, and leaders who may be able to contribute through:
Community partnerships
Resources and social services
Collaborations
Food and water donations
Sponsorships
A venue or event space
Financial or in-kind donations
Volunteers
Advertising and promotional support
If you yourself has ever experienced homeless, abandonment and misplacement than you understand how serious this initiative is. This is a call to action and we need all hands on deck if we are going to address the ongoing growing concerns of members of the Jamaica Queens Community who desperately need our help, support, resources, words of affirmation, clothing, food, shelter and so much more.
Join us as we uplift those afflicted by the harsh realities of life by coming together to lift them up, encourage them and do our part. Throughout the 24 Hour Cycle we will have entertainment, prayer circles, meditation, community activist and professionals in various fields providing medical assistance, housing and job readiness for those in a position to take advantage of those opportunities.
Thank you for reading this message in its entirety and I so look forward to being with you out there at the feeding. Let’s do something bigger than ourselves. Let’s help those in need and expect nothing in return. Let’s do the work of our ancestors. Let’s remember those we are serve are still human; too.
Distinguish ,
CEO of Disnetwork Inc
