Ever since the Corona Virus Lockdown started I’ve been helping to keep our spirits lifted on Facebook Live with my live ‘Isolation Discos’, hopefully keeping everyone smiling, singing and dancing along with me!
I’ve been completely overwhelmed by the love and support from people for my efforts to entertain and keep spirits lifted during lockdown.
It started as a bit of fun for family and friends but quickly spread to the wider community and now there are people joining in from all over the world!
While many of us are looking for ways to keep entertained, we cannot forget how much gratitude we owe to our amazing NHS and front line heroes and so I would like to raise as much funds as possible to be able to show our gratitude.
The aim is to thank our heroes, working so hard and putting themselves and their families at risk to keep us all safe and well during the current lockdown.
I want to raise donations to give special 'Thank You Treats' to our Corona Heroes; NHS staff & Emergency Services, Public Sector workers, Carers, those helping to maintain food and vital supplies, collect our waste etc. and individuals that have done exceptional and outstanding things on our front lines.
The idea is to get businesses to donate goods and services, or give special discounts and offers that I can purchase to give away as thank you gifts.
I see this working 3 fold:
1) People will be able to donate and show their appreciation.
2) Our Corona Heroes will receive some well earned appreciation for their efforts on our front lines.
3) These treats can be used at small businesses who will in turn get some much needed promotion and support to help them recover and get back on their feet when they are able to return to business as usual.
All proceeds will go towards giving our Corona Heroes some well deserved thanks, with the collaboration of small businesses who would like to support the cause.
Not only will you be able to say a big thank you to many of our heroes, but also help support the recovery of some of our small businesses that have been forced to close and lockdown too.
The aim is to thank our heroes, working so hard and putting themselves and their families at risk to keep us all safe and well during the current lockdown.
