My name is Kimberly Williams, and I live in NYC. I am creating this fundraiser for my family located in Jamaica who has been tragically affected by Hurricane Melissa. I am also opening this GoFundMe account on behalf of the whole family located in the states who want to help and family who lives in Jamaica, WI, who acknowledges that I will be the holder of the account and trusts me to distribute the money accordingly to where it needs to go to our family located in Jamaica in the West Indies.

We’re devastated by the fact that we cannot afford to help our family and we also can’t go out there to help them; they have lost almost everything from losing their roofing and insulation due to strong winds, damaged furniture, and electric systems from the rainfall coming in from the roof and floods. What we will do is send them what we can raise for materials to rebuild their homes, to replace furniture that has been damaged and growing with mold, and also for resources of food.

As pictures come in from our family once electricity is back up and we can properly reach those that have the right phones to send pictures to us here in America, I will add it to this charity for proof. Also, as they are building out, I will add that as well, in order for everyone to see what their money has helped provide for those that are less fortunate out in Jamaica.
